When people think of Mozilla, they generally think of the browser, but Mozilla is really much more than that. Mozilla is of interest to people who want an end-user application like our browser that’s not tied directly into the Windows platform. (Mitchell Baker)
Almost two years ago I was very proud of my first dofollow backlink from a huge website like mozilla.org (#33 at ahrefs rank). My ahrefs DomainRank gained some points overnight from this powerful source. And then, just some month later, they canceled this type of profile, because of too many SPAM profiles. But now I’ve found a new way to get free dofollow backlinks from mozilla.org, even if they are not as good as the first ones. I hope it stays a little bit longer than the last time… let me show you how it works.
Create a free account at mozilla.org
First of all, sign up for free here https://community.mozilla.org/en/ by clicking on Log in / Sign up in the upper right corner. On the following screen using the button Log in with Google for the quick check-in or use your e-mail as another way.
Now click on your automatically generated username on the upper right side to see your empty profile at mozilla.org.
Use the pencil on your empty profile to edit the content.
Change your Username, full name, and e-mail-address if you like and agree to Mozilla’s Community Participation Guidelines – this is mandatory for what we want. Hit Complete Profile to save it and edit more.
Now click again on the pencil to get into your profile settings. First of all make sure, that all your information will be public, so everyone could see it. You may have to do that on every single section.
It’s time to bring some life into your new profile, by uploading a picture and writing a short description. Finally, scroll down to the section Social Links. Once again make sure, that the information can be viewed by everyone (public).
Here you can create free high-quality dofollow backlinks from mozilla to your blog or website and some social media channels. Just use one of the empty fields, even if the naming is wrong – it works! When you’re finished scroll down to the SAVE PROFILE Button and click it.
Here’s what my profile at mozilla looks like: https://community.mozilla.org/de/people/backlinkguide/ – beautiful… 😉

Like always you have to share and publish this new link to get it indexed as fast as possible. I’ve already shared it on this page, on lasso.net, protopage.com, AllMyFaves.com, start.me, diigo.com, Instapaper.com, dailygram.com, linktr.ee, Hatena.ne.jp, netvibes.com, and telegram as shown in the last articles. All other already existing Social Media Channels with outgoing dofollow links will also be very helpful. But in my link-building tutorial, I will soon show you a lot more free landing pages and profiles where you can publish them with a lot more link juice. This URL would take some time and a lot of linkpower to get indexed.
Don’t forget to check your link-building success from time to time. You can use the Google Search Console to see which domains already give you a fully working backlink if you don’t have a paid tool at ahrefs, XOVI, MOZ, Sistrix, or Searchmetrics. More about that topic here: https://backlinkgui.de/seo-basics/#Important_tools_to_control_SEO_measures
And that is the link to the Google Search Console: https://search.google.com/search-console – get an account, it’s for free! And you need to control your backlinks. In case you wonder: The link list in the Google Search Console will be updated only once a week. So please stay patient… good SEO needs some time!
Please write a comment below if the link doesn’t work as described or is offline.
